History of MABCA
The National Business Committee for the Arts was established in 1967 by David Rockefeller, then president of Chase Manhattan Bank. In 1979, The Montgomery Area Business Committee for the Arts was founded by Winton M. “Red” Blount as the first affiliate established in the United States. Other affiliates soon followed in Florida, California, Texas, Colorado, New Hampshire, Oregon, Alaska, Montana, and Missouri. read more
